In 2007, as an undergraduate, I embarked on my professional journey at a call center (BPO) based in Noida. Initially, I worked in a US-based process where my responsibilities involved making sales calls to customers in the USA for dish network services. Later, I transitioned to customer service profiles and eventually took on the role of a team leader. Seeking new opportunities, I shifted gears and explored the IT and Telecom sector, serving as a Training Consultant. My tenure in this job spanned from 2007 to 2017, during which I managed to complete my BBA and MBA degrees.
The decision to pursue an MBA was driven by the belief that it would lead to a higher salary, but I soon realized that a better salary does not necessarily equate to a better future. There was a pivotal moment when I found myself sitting in my office, feeling completely lost and frustrated, contemplating what I would do if I were to lose my job without any prospects for the future. The thought of spending my entire life carrying out repetitive tasks day after day was disheartening.
Eventually, the day arrived when I made the courageous decision to quit my job. With no alternative or superior opportunity in hand, it was undoubtedly a challenging step to take. However, I was determined to break free from the monotony and explore new paths. I gathered my courage, informed my boss of my resignation, and took the leap into the unknown. Although I was uncertain about the future, I knew deep down that it was a necessary move for my personal and professional growth.
After three months of being unemployed, I came to a realization that I no longer wanted to rely on traditional employment for my satisfaction and a peaceful future. Determined to explore my own path, I delved into self-discovery and recognized my proficiency in computers and a deep-rooted interest in technology. It was during this time that I stumbled upon the Shopify Dropshipping Business Model while researching online.
Motivated by the potential of selling products online, I immersed myself in YouTube videos, blogs, and various resources to gain knowledge about this domain. Filled with excitement, I took the leap and launched my first online store on Shopify. However, the initial phase was disheartening as my store remained dormant, failing to attract any customers, despite my efforts of promoting it to my Facebook friends and relatives.
I realized that running ads was the key to driving traffic to my store, so I turned to Facebook ads after watching numerous instructional videos. Despite investing 30,000 INR from my savings, the results were still disappointing. Determined not to give up, I continued to learn new strategies and methods while investing in testing and learning through ad spend. Although it took me nine months and nearly exhausting all my savings, I eventually cracked the system and began receiving daily orders.
As my knowledge and experience grew, I recognized the potential profitability of selling on my own website with a distinct brand identity. Realizing that marketing played a crucial role in generating orders, I decided to focus my efforts on building my own brand and ceased selling on marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart.
Empowered by my journey, I felt compelled to share my learnings with other store owners who were struggling with Facebook ads, Instagram ads, and Google ads. I became an active participant in the Shopify and Amazon Sellers Communities, offering advice and assistance to fellow entrepreneurs. The positive impact I made caught the attention of Facebook, leading to an invitation to their Gurgaon office for a research project focused on my experience with running Facebook ads.
From that point onwards, I shifted my focus to serving Shopify store owners, managing their stores, and working on their Facebook ads, Google ads, and social media campaigns. I began extending my services to store owners from India, the USA, the UK, and Australia.
My journey has been filled with amazing opportunities and experiences, driven by a passion for helping others and sharing my expertise. I am grateful for the chance to serve and support businesses globally, enabling them to achieve success in their online endeavors.
